Our Story

Our classes are designed for individuals of all levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners.

Our idea for Poses and Prana was born from a desire to reach those who for a variety of reasons might be intimidated to attend classes in a yoga studio. Incorporating asana (poses) and breath (prana) into every class, we develop each student's knowledge and confidence to continue their practice anywhere.

Making yoga accessible to all is a cornerstone of our philosophy. Join us on a journey of self-discovery, relaxation, and inner peace.

Classes

We focus on mindfulness, stress management and personal growth through movement, breath work and a compassionate mindset.

Used in every class, props such as blocks, chairs, straps, bolsters or blankets are all viewed as “friends” to help us ease into our poses and avoid injury.

Classes are 60 minutes.

Small and inclusive yoga classes

Beginners

We create a space for all bodies and all levels to start or restart a practice.

Get to know your mat and get to know yourself.

Personalized attention and focus on alignment

Private Classes

A great option for many. The location can be of your choosing, even your own living room.
We will meet you at your home and at your level.

October 2025

Our next adventure will bring us to the beautiful and artistic city of Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Retreats and Wanderings

Experiences guided by facilitators to bring us together, make new friends, reconnect, and focus on self-care away from the stresses of daily life.

The weekend retreat was peaceful and restorative. The location had stunning views. The activities were engaging and relaxing. The food was delicious. Monika arranged everything with careful thought and love.

Inspiration

Within you lives a great vision for your life, quieted over time by the world.

It is once again time to listen.

It is once again time to live.
